General coloration black; pronotum, scutellum, and cephalic portion of mediotergite light yellow; pleura chiefly yellow, variegated with black; halteres and legs black; wings strongly tinged with blackish; SC2 lying before level of r-m; inner end of cell 1st M2 strongly arcuated; male hypopygium enlarged; ninth tergite strongly notched medially; aedeagus subtended on either side by about twelve acute spines. Male.-Length, about 11 to 13 millimeters; wing, 10 to 11; antennae, about 4.5 to 5. Holotype, male, Mount Omei, summit, altitude 11,000 feet, June 9, 1937 (Tsen). Paratopotypes, 12 males, altitude 10,000 to 11,000 feet, June 9 and 10, 1937 (Tsen).
